My suggestion to all Executive, Area and Assistant Directors: Get this podcast (or the transcript), along with Ivan's article about "You Need a Pilot to Fly" into the hands as required reading/listening to anyone who will be serving on the Leadership Team, The Support Leadership Team (Visitor Hosts, etc) and Membership Committee. To quote Ivan from "Givers Gain" "If all the people in an organization row in the same direction, that organization can dominate any industry in any market, against competition, at any time." I believe it will minimize any challenges that your chapters will have in the next term and also will give a better understanding as to WHY we have this particular leadership model in BNI, and at their trainings, they will focus on the HOW this is executed. I have accepted being President. I wanted the members to be aware of my reasoning of why and whom I choose to be on my Leadership Team. I played portions of this podcast during my Educational Coord. time during the meeting. When I approached them and asked if they are able to make training the answer has been "absolutely, no problem!".
