This Butterfly Effect is very true for me. A phone call from my sister Jennifer Pan to join BNI, has led me to become one of the Assistant Director of Malaysia.

It's really interesting to go into this BNI Podcast.com

In 1980 we( in Holland) did give a part of our practice to a pianist from America. He wanted to find out if he would be a solo pianist. He did like it very much to play there for a year. This year he, Wim Ibes, picked me up in Minniapolis airport and showed me the source of the Missisipi river and I was his guest in his beautiful house. There he showed me that he played the piano in Carnegie Hall in a beautiful concert. I really feel greatful having been a small piece in the whole, like the wing of a butterfly.

An absolutely amazing story! Once again, this goes to show how people should never underestimate the power of networking. (It's also a good example of why every phone call and email should be returned -- you never know where it may lead you. In Ivan's case, it was Necker Island. Maybe Sir Richard Branson can convince him to take BNI to outer space!)
