Internet networking is growing as Dr. Misner said. My favorite online business networking platform is LinkedIn.

Dear Dr. Misner,

Great info as usual.

Just a quick comment about face-to-face versus online networking. I marvel at the plethora of online social networks popping up like mushrooms. I appreciate you naming a few of your favorites. Somehow it just seems inappropriate to me for business professionals to be hanging out with the 'kids' on some of today's popular online social groups.

I like my computer, but I love people. For me online will never replace face-to-face. Whereas my small business involves a local service; the internet will augment my networking, but never substitute for it.

Thanks Dr. Misner for offering these great podcast to keep us on the cutting edge.

Respectfully,
Tom Doiron

Our engineering and metalworking company as a small business does benefit from networking and I get a buzz out of small businesses with individual fresh ideas for business as they give you a good prospective of how all companies fit in on the map, they are also quite a challenge for referrals
