I have worked highly successfully in financial services for 10 years until last year and decided to walk away from an industry I knew with no idea where to go next.

Being within BNI and especially when I became a Regional Director in London then an assistant director in East Anglia gave me a passion for networking and helping other businesses which I wanted to build on.

This year I have been able to do that through my latest venture which supports businesses through actively working with them to help their marketing budget go further.

This podcast has really rung true with me. There were many processes in trying to find my niche where I was questioned on what I was doing and why I didn't just go and get any job.

I chose to follow what I loved. As a result I am more productive now that I have ever been and am working with a great business colleague who is a fellow BNI director on making sure that networking is being promoted across our region.

I know that the podcast wasnt broadcast for me personally, but it may as well have been!!

That's how I opened my Consulting Business. I was at a party talking with a friend about some problems they were having with their business. My wife and another friend were laughing so loud we stopped and asked them why. They said, "Gary, you are so passionate about what you are saying. This is what you should be doing in life." I thought about what they said, opened my company and enjoy getting out of bed and going to work every day.
